“ Its a authentic place, prices very fair. I came her few times already, the duck buns are very tasty as well many other dishes. And yes, you will need to que on the line for a long time since it is not a big place and people often come back once they eat there. ”
“ Ordered so much dim sum here and the duck (obviously) it was all delicious and the portion sizes are great! The dim sum is definitely comparable to Hong Kong too. Word of warning though, definitely either get here earlier so you don't have to queue up as long or you'll probably be in line for about an hour or more! I'd say the place is better suited for smaller parties too as the place is on the smaller side. Weighing it up with the wait time, I'd say it's maybe not the best option but if you have time to kill or willing to try your patience- definitely try this place out :) ”
“ Arrived on Wednesday evening to a busy atmosphere, this place is a very popular date spot and most seating is tailored to pairs! So on a busy night you find better luck being seated as a group of 3/4. Staff was very attentive and organised, they let those waiting to come in look at menus to speed up ordering process once each party was able to be seated. The food was delicious and very tasty. The honey roast pork was a highlight of the night, as were the duck pancakes. The staff were very fast paced and worked very well to make sure everyone was being served, and with smiles on their faces. I will be returning. Also, good to note that price wise it is worth the money, particularly for a central location like Kings Cross. ”

“ Worth the wait and hype. Food was 10/10 and love the authentic vibe. Got there 6:15 and probably waited 45 mins which wasn’t so bad and meant we were hungry by the time we got seated. Didn’t feel rushed or anything once we were in. Ordered perfectly and loved everything!! “ I have tried to visit this restaurant many times, but each time I walk away upon see a long queue. I was in the area this week on Monday. I expected it not to have a queue at 1:30. Lo and be hold, there was still a queue. All be it a short one. I waited around 15mins to get a seat. While I was having my meal, I see the queue grew - At 2pm on a Monday? Are you kidding me! Now, the verdict for the food I heard so much about. I enjoyed the dim sum. Each dish was tasty, and the xiaolongbao were full of soup, with pretty delicate and thin wrapper. I had thought this place is popular because it is cheaper, but the prices here are no less than any other restaurants in Chinatown. Some even a bit more. Most of the dim sum on the menu are 6.50 or above. You do get what you pay for here though. Not only do you have good quality dim sum, the dumplings are much, much larger and packed full with filling. I’ll definitely be happy to come back (when there isn’t a long queue) ”
“ A place you come to for great food! Stopped by for a quick dinner on a Monday. Managed to get here as they opened, so luckily avoided having to queue. Please be aware, there will very often be significant queues outside, which I suppose is a testament to the great quality of food you’ll get here. The service is quick and very transactional, and the space has little to no character. However, this is not a place you would come to for niceties and atmosphere. This is a place to eat, and that is it. And as far as dim sum places go, Dim Sum Duck is absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend getting more than one batch of dim sum when you order as they will not let you order more later, presumably to ensure they have enough rotation of the tables. Only tried a few dishes, but will absolutely be back to try some more. ”
“ I personally always go to restaurants with 4.7 and above but decided to give this a try. Although I understand it receives 4.1 stars on google review due to the terrible service, I think this rating is too low. Yes, the service is not the best. Yes, the music is too loud. But the dimsum? The duck? And the hor fun? The best in London. I swear the horfun still haunts me til this day. The lack of hospitality isn’t bothering me because I understand there’s always a queue so the restaurant has to arrange the seatings meticulously. This means that you have several ground rules coming here: be ready for the queue, ensure all members of your party are present when queuing to be admitted inside, eat fastgo out fast, and remember: you can only order once for all of your food. Don’t let the 4.1 rating discourage you from coming to this place! ”
